Our Florida story began back in 2014 when we were looking to open a South Florida division. Our journey started with the intention of purchasing an established demolition contractor in the Fort Lauderdale area. This journey has led us down some exciting paths.
During this period, we spent some very intimate time with three of the largest demolition contractors in South Florida.
So intimate that we were blessed to be able to be a part of some groundbreaking projects. One being the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood for Suffolk Construction and Yates Construction. Another being 300 Biscayne in Miami. A 12-story concrete structure that needed to be removed for the new Waldorf Astoria to be built. A great project for Property Markets Group and John Moriority & Associates.
We also had the opportunity to start a bridge division for one of these contractors. Today they are the largest bridge contractor in Florida, which we are extremely proud of.
Unfortunately, these acquisitions did not work out like we hoped so we decided to bring Atlas to Florida!
South Florida is our second home. We have been rooted here in more ways than one for the past 30 years. We decided it was finally time to bring our demolition roots of Chicago to the sunshine state!
Our company operates as four separate divisions. We segregated the company this way because while all four divisions include demolition, they all operate very differently.
Our four divisions include: Residential Total Building Demolition, Commercial/Industrial Total Building Demolition, Selective Interior/Surgical Demolition, and Bridge Demolition.
